That why we call them Viet Cong

In war, all side lies. It usually called “war propaganda”. Just as no one is pure evil, or “the good guy”, no one commit no atrocities. If one look at history from all perspective available – one will see that war is never simple, naive accusations such as evil, crime, terror… are made to easily sway people who had a reason for prejudice, who simply like to hate, and people who simply have simple minds. The “truth” as we called it, belongs to someone who lies better, and the vietnamese – a country of peasants just 50 years ago – are simply not good at it. One would be well to learn history from all its lessons, not just the one that most suitable for one’s ear to hear.
Again, it would be unfair to compare vietnam to the USA, for example: vietnam is a country plagued by endless wars for the last 2000 years. Vietnamese people are people with small ambition: peasant are people who just want to be safe to work in their own field, grown their own food, at their own pace. If one compare Vietnam with Somali, or Democratic of Congo, for example, one will appreciate the efforts Vietnam had made in the last few decades. One might for some reason habor deep hatred with this government, and in my experience it would be unwise to argue with such person, since he would be unwilling to listen to whatever I have to say.
